Public input needed to stop utility rate increases and attack on rooftop solar

Kentuckians are pushing back hard against proposals from monopoly utilities trying to raise rates during the pandemic and rig the rules to harm the future of rooftop solar in Kentucky.

This month is a critical time to make your voice heard. The Kentucky Public Service Commission just announced a series of public hearings in April. These will be held online due to the pandemic. You can expect 3-5 minutes to speak, depending on how many other people sign up.

Here’s how to reserve your time to speak against these proposals:

  1. Choose the date(s) / time(s) from the list below.
  2. Email the Kentucky Public Service Commission ([email protected]) to request to speak on the date(s) that works best for you. Include your name, address, phone and email.
  3. Fill out this quick form to let KFTC know you’ve signed up to speak.
  4. Prepare your comments by reviewing:
