Big Sandy Chapter Meeting

Did you attend the Growing Appalachia conference? Are you excited to learn more, find out what happens next, or want to meet folks interested in these same topics? Then come out to the Big Sandy chapter meeting, where we'll do all that and more!

We'll meet at 6:00 p.m. in the Goldenrod Room at Jenny Wiley Lodge for our regular meeting. (Please note the earlier time and location change.) Then for those who are interested, at 7:00 p.m. we'll hear from Eric Dixon and Kendall Bilbrey, two Appalachian Transition Fellows researching ways Abandoned Mine Lands funds could be used to help economic development in mine-affected regions, including how these plans are part of the White House's POWER+ plan and could be used within Kentucky's SOAR initiative. After they share what they've learned, we'll have a short discussion about what ideas what the presentation sparked and some possible next steps.
