Celebration of 40 years of Clean Water Act

It has been 40 years since the national Clean Water Act was passed, and the occasion will be marked by a program with experts discussing how far water quality has come in Kentucky, as well as the work ahead. The event will feature speakers addressing drinking water, soil conservation, watersheds and the barge industry, among other topics. It is being put together by the Kentucky Sierra Club Great Rivers Group and the Murray Environmental Student Society at Murray State University.
