CKY KFTC Watch Party: People's Emergency Healthcare Hearing
Are you ready to put Senators Mitch McConnell and Rand Paul on blast over the ACHA health care bill?
Join us for our unprecedented People’s Emergency Health Care Hearing. Kentuckians For The Commonwealth will broadcast a live-stream on our Facebook page round-the-clock starting Sunday at 4 p.m. and running continuously at least until 5 p.m. on Monday. A Senate vote could come late Monday or Tuesday.
Join the Central Kentucky Chapter of Kentuckians For the Commonewealth for a viewing party for the final two hours of the broadcast at West Sixth Brewing. It's a great chance to be a part of this action, as well as be in community with other KFTC members and CKY folks. There will be opportunities to share your healthcare concerns, call Senator McConnell and Senator Paul, and hear other ways to get involved.
As you know, the U.S. Senate is about to vote on its version of a bill to dismantle the Affordable Care Act and take away health care for tens of millions of people.
Kentucky Senator Mitch McConnell is playing the key role in shaping this legislation behind closed doors. Rand Paul, Kentucky’s other senator, will be a key vote in determining the outcome. Many of you have been actively contacting their offices urging these men to support health care for all Kentuckians.
There may be no state and its people who have benefited more from the Affordable Care Act than Kentuckians in the form of better care, jobs or simply being able to go to a doctor when you’re sick. It’s unacceptable that Republicans want to reverse and take away this progress.
In the meantime, please keep calling McConnell’s (202-224-2541) and Paul’s (202-224-4343) offices. See sample messages and additional ways to contact them here: kftc.org/actions/support-health-care-all-call-today
