Getting Started Keeping Chickens: A Growing Appalachia Workshop
If you’ve ever wanted to access to fresh eggs but didn’t know how to get started, this workshop is for you! Learn about the basics of keeping chickens, including managing chickens, how to collect and clean eggs, and safety practices.
We'll meet Saturday May 9 at 11:00 a.m. and spend some time talking with and learning from Chris Steele, who operates Steele Farm and sells eggs, baked goods, and produce at the Floyd County Farmer's Market. We will be outside for the duration so please dress appropriately.
