Growing Appalachia Workshop - Collecting Wild Edibles and Medicinals
Do you want to learn more about collecting and marketing wild edibles and medicinals?
Then join us Sunday September 8th at 2:00 pm on Wilson Creek in Floyd County, where we'll have a follow-up to one of our most popular Growing Appalachia workshops!
Led by Cody Montgomery, we'll get out into the hills and learn about a number of species located in our area, as well as how to locate specific habitats for various plants. In addition to harvesting practices you will learn about specific uses for herbs, and how to prepare certain plants for personal use.
If you are interested in raising plants for extra income, providing your own medicine, or just want to gain a better understanding of our wonderful land this workshop is for you!
All skill and interest levels are welcome! We'll be getting out into the hills so please dress appropriately and come prepared spend the afternoon outside.
This event is sponsored by members of the Big Sandy Chapter of Kentuckians For The Commonwealth. If you would like to make a donation to support this event, please visit www.kftc.org/donate.
