Jefferson County Voter Madness
On Saturday, April 16, Kentuckians For The Commonwealth, Louisville Urban League Young Professionals, and Zones of Hope will register hundreds of voters at various locations in Metro Council Districts 2, 4, and 6.
Voter Madness will raise awareness about the April 18th voter registration deadline for the May 17th Primary Election. A volunteer training will be held at 10:00 a.m. at the KFTC office. Following the training voter registration teams will be deployed to various locations in each council district. An optional debrief will take place at 2:00 p.m. at the KFTC office.
Every election year, KFTC, a 34-year old grassroots social justice organization, registers thousands of voters. KFTC strives to create an authentic, participatory democracy by registering, educating, and mobilizing voters to participate in elections – and make a space to talk about issues. KFTC specifically targets voters who are traditionally underrepresented, such as youth, people of color, women, and low-income communities.
