SOAR Youth Engagement Listening Session

Are you a young person or do you know a young person who is excited about the future of eastern Kentucky? On Monday June 9, the Shaping Our Appalachian Region (SOAR) Youth Engagement workteam will hold a listening session at Appalshop in Whitesburg from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and they want to hear good ideas and recommendations from the region’s youth about how to build eastern Kentucky’s bright future.

KFTC members agree that a just transition will take a commitment to planning together and working together, inclusive of many voices - including and especially young people. This listening session provides a unique opportunity to speak directly with those involved in making recommendations to the SOAR Executive Committee.
