Southern Kentucky Fall Democracy Party
We're throwing a party to help grow a healthy democracy in Kentucky and support the work of Kentuckians For The Commonwealth!
Typically, the first Tuesday in November is Election Day. There's no election in Kentucky this year, so members of Kentuckians For The Commonwealth are hosting Democracy Parties to build momentum for our work in 2014. More than 50 of these events are being planned across the state.
Join us at the historic Shaker Tavern in Auburn. Grab a quilt and cozy up to the fire while enjoying some Apple Cider Sangria featuring sparkling wine from Reid's Livery and Winery. At 6:00pm we will sit down for a farm-to-table dinner including a Roasted Pork Loin donated by John's Custom Meats, glazed with Bourbon and Peach Preserves, Rosemary Potatoes, and Autumn Salad with greens from Festina Lente Farms.
But, save room! This will be followed by a democratic dessert showdown! Yes, that's right, sample our delicious desserts and vote for your favorite! We will have Cheesecake Pecan Pie, Black Bottom Pumpkin Pie, Brown Sugar Bourbon Bundt, and Gourmet Caramel Apples!
Please RSVP by November 3rd, so we know how many to expect.
