Important dates for the 2015 General Assembly

Kentucky's 2015 General Assembly is just around the corner! The 2015 session will be a short (30 day) session, but we are planning to pack a lot of citizen lobbying into that short period of time. Below is a calendar of our upcoming major lobby days and other important dates. Many of the details for our major lobby days are still being worked out, but we will share out additional information as we know more.

Dear Appalachia

With the author's permission, we are pleased to share with you this powerful poem by Clay County author Anne Shelby. She expresses beautifully the deep and conflicting emotions many Kentuckians feel about our home communities. The poem was first written for a National Public Radio program, State of The Reunion. A version of it was published in the journal Appalachian Heritage. Thank you, Anne!
