Courier Journal Story - Operation Voter Madness
Posted by: Dave Newton on October 1, 2008 at 08:00pm
We had a mention in the Courier-Journal today for our great ground work on Operation Voter Madness.
Organizations throughout the community also are pushing the importance of next month's vote.
For instance, volunteers with Kentuckians For The Commonwealth, which usually focuses on advancing environmental reform, are planning a marathon nonpartisan campaign dubbed "Operation Voter Madness" between 7 a.m. tomorrow and midnight Sunday.
Its goal is to sign up 15,000 new voters across the state, with pushes in Bowling Green, Lexington, Louisville and other cities. Volunteers will canvass neighborhoods with banners and bullhorns, urging people to register.
