Door-to-door Field Work in Georgetown starting Tomorrow
We have a lot of Voter Mobilization field work in Georgetown over the next ten days, including a big door-to-door canvass tomorrow and more field work in cooperation with Scott County NAACP the next weekend.
Come out to what you can!
- Scott County Door-to-door canvassing day - Saturday, September 25th, starting at 10:30am at the Lock and Key, Main Street, Georgetown.
- Festival of The Horse - Day 1 - Friday, October 1st from 1pm to 3pm - canvass the crowds with clipboards and signs on Main Street during the Festival of the Horse to register voters.
- NAACP/KFTC Voter Mobilization Day - Saturday, October 2nd starting at 8:30am at the Meetinghouse, a house owned by the College on College Street just across from the Cralle Student Center. We'll have donuts, coffee, juice, etc. and get ready to make voter mobilization phone calls from 9am to about 11am.
At 11 AM we'll head up to Main Street and call out for voter registration.
People are encouraged to come for some or all of the event.
There are televised speeches from the DC start around noon. By 1 PM we will be back at the Meetinghouse to watch some of them.
- Voter Registration Deadline - Monday, October 4th.
- Scott County KFTC Meeting - Thursday, October 7th at 7pm at Georgetown College at the cafe in the Library.
- Election Day - Tuesday, November 2nd. Polls open 6am to 6pm.
- Tim and Rosanne Klarer's Pie Houseparty - Saturday, November 13th in the evening.
This list will continue to grow, including lots of voter mobilizations phone banks between October 4th and November 2nd.
