First Big Voter Mobilization Phonebank in CKY Tonight
Tonight we had the first big voter education phone bank of the General Election cycle, calling hundreds of newly registered voters at UK and Central KY Chapter KFTC members from the Lexington KFTC office.
With the promise of free pizza, a dozen students came out and the energy level was high as we referred people to www.KentuckyElection.org and invited them out to our big Unity in the Community Concert/Rally on Saturday October 24th from 3pm to 7pm at Phoenix Park.
"It feels good to get people the information they need," said UK student and KFTC member John Ghaelian, "and make contacts with your community."
Most of all, students had fun. UK Student and KFTC Member Courtney Roberts said it best, "I came out to phonebank because I just dig KFTC people."
If you dig KFTC people too, get in touch with your local organizer to find out when phone banks in your area will be. There will be a constant stream of phone banks in Lexington and across the state over the next three weeks leading up to Election Day and we could use your help!
