Jefferson County Voter Engagement Going Strong
The Power to the People Jazz & Spoken Word Fest for Voter Madness (sponsored by The Jefferson County KFTC Chapter) will be at Baxter Park on Sunday October 3 from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. with folks registering people to vote all week (9.27 thru 10.03) until the Board of Elections Office closes on Monday, October 4.
This event is co-sponsored by KFTC, KYJWJ, NAACP, AMEN, PAR, ACLU, KAARPR and other members of the Voting Rights Coalition.
We will highlight local and guest artists giving us powerful words and soulful music centered around the power of people who vote and those who can't!
This is a family event and celebration of voter registration efforts with people voting, youth activites, food, vendors, elected officials, candidates, prizes, games and more.
Contact [email protected] or 502-589-3188 if you want to volunteer, sponsor, vend, perform or donate to make this event accessible for all!
