Kentucky-United in Recovery - in Louisville this weekend
Posted by: Dave Newton on September 13, 2008 at 08:00pm
Our allies at People Advocating Recover (PAR) are spearheading a Rally for Recovery event in Louisville this weekend. They'll bring people together from recovery houses all over the state to celebrate overcoming substance abuses and other vices.
As many people in recovery have been convicted of felonies and participating in the democratic process can be a big part of becoming rejoining the community, KFTC will be on hand to register voters, help people through the process of getting their rights back, and let people sign postcards to legislators asking them to restore voting rights to all former felons who have served their debt to society.
Please come out and join us at this exciting event!
