KFTC Candidate Surveys due in in 1 week
With the Primary Election coming up soon on May 22nd, the citizens of Kentucky have a lot of work to do to learn about candidates and decide who to vote for in a host of races from the Presidential primary, to local legislative office, and even city offices. It's a lot to sort through and candidates don't generally do a good job of volunteering their stances on many issues either.
KFTC members and staff are working hard to follow up with candidates and get them to respond to candidate surveys so we can relay their answers out to our membership and thousands of others - through our printed voter guides and www.KentuckyElection.org.
We're following up with all of the Congressional candidates, plus local chapters in Central Kentucky, Scott County, Jefferson County, Northern Kentucky, and Madison have decided to make candidate surveys for a lot of their races as well.
Candidates have just one week left to respond to candidate surveys before we start moving forward on making voter guides and getting the material online. The deadline to respond is April 20th.
Most candidates are shy about letting people know where they stand on issues and it's hard to get them to respond.
Our strength is in our members like YOU, though, so if you'd like to help follow-up with candidates about surveys, contact your local KFTC organizer to see how you can help.
