KFTC IMPACT

My journey of impact with KFTC has given me a whole new outcome on every day of living. I was able to get the opportunity to share some positive inputs and suggested ideas to the residents who are facing the same impact of high energy bills, the smell in our city, climate change impact, and the election. I attended some community meetings/workshops and community events and gave out voter guides - which was my first time seeing one. I had the opportunity to attend the public meetings with the city government.

”...the one thing that stood out the most to me was the "Singing for Democracy" in Lexington. At this event, there were some members of KFTC who gave their testimony and encouraged others to vote.”

I enjoyed listening to some great stories and learning from other workers from KFTC and from residents/voters. But the one thing that stood out the most to me was the "Singing for Democracy" in Lexington. At this event, there were some members of KFTC who gave their testimony and encouraged others to vote. I had really enjoyed myself and am hoping Louisville could have a rally/service like this in near the future. I'm sure this could happen if we put our mind to it, and ask local choirs, churches, ministers, musicians, and leaders to come together and get involved.

I also met some great people while working with KFTC. But most of the team I had worked with. Chase, Madison, and Quincy, are amazing to work with, we were a great team. I had really enjoyed myself and loved the job I did. If I have an opportunity to work for KFTC again, I will jump on it.
