KFTC Tables at Tanya and Christian's Wedding!
This past Saturday, KFTC experienced a first- tabling at a wedding! KFTC was invited to table at the wedding of members Tanya Ferguson and Christian Torp. Tanya and Christian chose to use their wedding as an opportunity for folks and organizations in North Lexington to get to know others in their community. The couple invited everyone from the neighborhoods surrounding Duncan Park, where the reception/ block party took place. Hundreds of folks came out to eat and celebrate with Tanya and Christian.
Members of the Central Kentucky chapter were there registering folks to vote and talking with former felons about our voting rights work. We talked to guests about the issues that we work on and invited them out to the next chapter meeting. Thanks to Tanya and Christian for letting us be part of this great community event!
