The Northern Kentucky chapter of KFTC is preparing for I Love Mountains Day by teaming up with Ohio Citizen Action, Inter-community Justice and Peace Committee, the League of Women Voters of Greater Cincinnati, the Sierra Club, and NKU ECOS to bring Mari-Lynn Evans to the University of Cincinnati's Tangeman University Center, who will showcase her films Coal Country and Low Coal!
These films show the lives of various Appalachian people, and the differing opinions around what coal has meant for the region.
Coal Country will begin at 7 p.m. at the MainStreet Theater in the Tangeman University Center, followed by several of the musicians who will be performing at Music for the Mountains, a question and answer session with executive producer Mari-Lynn Evans, and then a showing of Low Coal!
