Northern KY Chapter prepares for film festival
Building upon the success of the film festival last year, the Northern Kentucky KFTC chapter and the Sierra Club are working together to have another film festival! This will be the 5th straight year for the Sierra Club, and the second year with both organizations involved.
Members from the two groups have been planning this event for months, and selected 5 films and several speakers for the program. The films selected range from global concerns about water, regional issues related to extraction, to local erosion issues on the banks of the Ohio River. Attendees are encouraged to share their thoughts not just at the event, but also using social media under the hash tag "#h20filmfest" for twitter or google+.
The organizations involved will be providing light refreshments and information tables about ways to get involved to help protect and promote clean water, as well as other environmental justice issues.
