Phone banks and more phone banks!
All across the state, KFTC members are calling our member rolls, plus lists of people who we've registered to vote or who have signed KFTC petitions in recent years and making sure they're all set to vote on Tuesday.
That's around 20,000 people we're trying to reach, so we've been quite busy! - with big phone banks like the 35-person one Tayna Fogle brought together in Lexington last week, to small kitchen table phone banks with just a couple of people.
Many members are also calling friends and neighbors. Several college students have pledged to call everyone in their cell phones to remind them to go vote.
More than just remaining them to get out on Tuesday, we're checking to make sure people know where their voting location is, have a time between 6am and 6pm set aside to vote, and they know what elections they'll be able to vote in and where the candidates stand on issues that they care about.
If you have time between now and Tuesday, please contact yor local KFTC Organizer to help out - or just call your own friends and family to make sure they're all set to vote.
If we all take the time to learn about the candidates, vote, and tell our friends, our Democracy will have a much better chance at ultimately coming to conclusions that are better for us all.
