Phonebanks, Phonebanks, Phonebanks!
KFTC members are hard at work across the state, coming together and picking up the phone to call 7,000 KFTC members, 23,000 people who we've helped register to vote or who have signed our petitions, and another 20,000 folks we've identified through the rolls of registered voters, primarily in under-represented communities.
In all, that's an incredible 50,000 voters we'll be in touch with by phone, plus by mail, email, and our original in-person visits.
It's an immense program focused on under-represented demographics like youth, low-income communities, and African Americans.
Our calls are completely non-partisan, but we find that they can be very effective in connecting with people, helping to connect them with information about voting, and making a space for them to commit to casting their vote on November 2nd. We also offer rides to the polls, information on voting locations, etc. - to overcome almost any barrier that might stand between a person and voting on Election Day.
Tonight, we had good phonebanks in Lexington and Northern KY, with others slated across the state in the coming days.
Please contact your local KFTC Organizer if you'd like to volunteer with us to make voter mobilization phone calls in your community.
It's easy, it's fun, and it's a great way to make a big impact in the Election.
