Registering 170,000 People with Felonies in their Past - Starting with Training

VotingRightsCoalitionMeeting7-10-20The Kentucky Voting Rights Coalition has just under 3 months to register some 170,000 people with felonies in their past who got their right to vote back through Beshear's executive action. We plan to do it through phone conversations, texting, door-to-door canvassing, mailers, PSAs, and more. But all that starts with training! Voter Registration Training Webinar - July 23 at 7pm ET - We’ll learn how to register voters including people with felonies in their past and help people double check their voter registration leading up to the Oct 5th 2020 deadline.  We’ll emphasize tactics people can use during COVID-19 to do this work safely.  Sign up here.


Registering People with Felonies in their Past to Vote Webinar - August 4 at 7pm ET - 170,000 people with felonies in their past now have the right to vote in Kentucky.  The problem is that there’s been little state attempt to reach those people and let them know.  We’ll talk about how to walk people through the sometimes complicated process to figure out if they got their right to vote back, then register.  Sign up here.
