Reserve your seat at the Unity Dinner

After all the hard work is done and the November 2 election is behind us, wouldn’t you like to gather with hundreds of other social justice activists for a bit of celebration and inspiration?

Please contact KFTC today if you would like to reserve your seat at KFTC’s table at the 2010 Unity Dinner on November 13th from 6 to 9 pm in Louisville. This is an annual event hosted by the KY Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression. The keynote speaker will be Dr. Boyce Watkins, a scholar-in-residence in the entrepreneurship and innovation unit at Syracuse University. Dr. Boyce grew up in Louisville and attended the University of Kentucky. He is a well-known advocate for education, economic empowerment and social justice and a frequent guest on national television and radio shows. The banquet and awards ceremony will all take place at the Hotel Louisville, located at 120 West Broadway in downtown Louisville.

Any KFTC member who is interested in attending this event should contact Lisa Abbott ([email protected]) immediately. If purchased independently, tickets to the event cost $45 each. KFTC has reserved a table with 8 seats. If more than 8 people express an interest, we will take into account a number of factors and do our best to select a diverse delegation of active KFTC members. We must hear from you by October 29 if you wish to be considered.
