Thanks for helping build a Healthier Democracy in Ky!
The polls in Kentucky are getting ready to close. As we await the election results we want to say THANKS for the incredible work done by KFTC members, volunteers, short-term voter empowerment organizers and staff over the past few months. With your help we are building a healthier democracy in Kentucky.
Together we’ve registered thousands of new voters and put printed voters guides in the hands of more than 70,000 thousand Kentuckians. Our online candidate surveys received more than 60,000 views at KentuckyElection.org. KFTC members have knocked on the doors and talked on the phone with tens of thousands of voters in targeted communities and college campuses, and backed those conversations up with an intense get-out-the-voter effort. KFTC’s New Power PAC sent thousands of postcards to voters spotlighting a number of progressive candidates who reflect the values and goals of KFTC. And today our volunteers gave rides to the polls to more than 50 voters in 14 different communities stretching from northern Kentucky to our southernmost counties.
We’ve worked hard to make a difference in this election. The outcomes of every election matter, and this one is a big deal in Kentucky. But KFTC members also put our heart and soul into this work because we want to build a healthier democracy, one where everyone participates and has a voice. The election results that we all eagerly anticipate will have a lot of do with shaping our work over the coming months and years. Whatever the outcome, we will be in a stronger position to make a difference because of the incredible work we have done together this summer and fall.
Thanks for being part of that difference!
