Upcoming Central Kentucky Field Events
There are a lot of tremendous field events in Lexington over the next few days and weeks and we wanted to get them out to you all. There's the Chapter Meeting on Thursday, followed by two events on Friday, three 3 events on Saturday, and the list just keeps going.
Come out to what you can - we need all of the volunteer power we can get if we're going to make a big impact in the upcoming election to register lots of voters and get them out to the polls!
Central KY Kentuckians For The Commonwealth Upcoming Events (partial list)
- Student Sustainability Lecture Series: Bob Koester - Wed, Sept 15th at 7pm at Memorial Hall. Koester is Director of the Center for Energy Research, Education and Service at Ball State University, which is installing the largest geothermal system in the US. Note that UK KFTC is cancelling their meeting tonight so that people can come out to this event.
- CKY KFTC Chapter Meeting - Thursday, September 16th at 7pm at the Mission House on the corner of MLK and 4th Street
- Festival Latino de Lexington - Friday, September 17th. We'll be canvassing and registering voters 7pm-9pm at the Courthouse Plaza
- Constitution Day at UK - Friday, September 17th, 11am-1:30pm, on the Lawn in front of the Main Building on UK's campus. KFTC will set up a voter registration table.
- Door-to-Door with MLK Neighborhood Association - Saturday,
September 18th, 10:30am-1:30pm. Meeting at Third Street Stuff.
- Community Fishfry - Saturday, September 18th 4pm to 7pm at the North Lexington YMCA. We'll circulate Voting Rights postcards.
- Voter Registration at the Pagan Festival at the Unitarian Universalist Church on Clays Mill Rd - Saturday, September 18th, Noon-3pm
- Central KY Voter Empowerment Meeting - Tuesday, Sept 21st at 7pm at the Lexington KFTC Office (250 Plaza Dr., Lexington).
- Weekly UK KFTC Meeting - Wednesday, Sept 22nd at 7pm in UK Student Center Room 111.
- Operation VOTER MADNESS - Thursday, September 30th to Sunday, October 3rd. A marathon Voter registration drive ranging all over Lexington 24-hours a day! More information to come.
- KFTC Statewide Annual Meeting - The weekend of October 8-10th.
- Big Voter Mobilization Phonebanks #1 - Tuesday, Oct 12th, 5pm-8pm
- Big Voter Mobilization Phonebanks #2 - Thursday, Oct 14th, 5pm-8pm
- Big Voter Mobilization Phonebanks #3 - Saturday, Oct 16th, noon to 4pm.
