Voter Registration Field Work in Georgetown
Posted by: Dave Newton on April 18, 2010 at 08:00pm
Scott County KFTC members held four strong days of voter registration events in the last week, leading up to today's deadline.
Members canvassed the Boston neighborhood on Tuesday, held a voter registration table at Georgetown College on Wednesday, and worked the two-day Kite Festival this past weekend along with our ACLU allies.
At each event, we registered voters, but also talked to people about our campaign to restore voting rights to former felons who have served their debt to society. About 150 people signed cards and it was a great space to have good conversations with people about voting and democracy.
