Wind in the coalfields

KFTC's Economic Development Organizer, Martin Richards, spent part of his youth growing up in the coalfields of Somerset County, Pennsylvania.
Pennsylvania and southwestern Pa. specifically, is experiencing a wind power boom. All told there are almost 800 megawatts* of wind power online or being developed in Pennsylvania.
Martin recently returned to Somerset County to witness first hand what has been happening. He visited the Meyersdale Wind Project in Meyersdale, PA with his brother-in-law, John Swank, who worked on its construction.
