Your Vote Matters
Last night in Hazard we had our 11th Singing For Democracy Gospel Festival, bringing together people to fight for restoration of voting rights to nearly a quarter of a million Kentucky citizens.
It was a powerful reminder that not all of us have the right to vote and it's worth fighting for.
In Kentucky, polls are open tomorrow (Tuesday, November 6) from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time.
Please take a moment now to plan when you'll vote, make sure you know where your polling place is, review who's running, and decide who to vote for in national, state and local races.
Our website at www.KentuckyElection.org can give you much of the basic information you might need.
Can we count on you to make it out to the polls tomorrow and vote?
To make an even bigger impact, you can:
- Pick up your phone and call 6 friends and make sure they're set to vote, too.
- Email many of your friends to remind them to get out and vote.Send them a link to www.KentuckyElection.org to help give them the tools they need to cast an informed vote tomorrow.
- Call your local KFTC organizer to offer to volunteer – to give rides to the polls, make last minute phone calls, hold a sign, or even operate a sound car to mobilize people to vote.
After 6 p.m. tomorrow, there's not another election scheduled in Kentucky until 2014, so let's use what time we have now to make a difference.
