At the August CKY KFTC Chapter meeting members will gather to create a plan for voter registration, education, and mobilization in the Central Kentucky area. We will also hear updates on local work, including the Fayette County ordinance to raise the minimum wage. All are welcome.

Public hearing on Stream Protection Rule

The U.S. Office of Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforcement has issued a draft Stream Protection Rule that is supposed to protect streams from the impacts of coal mining. This Lexington hearing (one of six around the country) will allow the public to comment on the proposed rule.
