Training: Communicating Our New Power Economy
Communicating Our
|
Kentuckians deserve good jobs, clean air and water, quality educations, and healthy, vibrant communities where everyone contributes their fair share. This Kentucky is possible, and right now is a defining moment. With the election season heating up and Kentucky’s Blue Ribbon Tax Reform Commission moving into its next phase, never have we had a better opportunity – or a more urgent need – to have good conversations with Kentuckians about the purpose of taxes and the role of the economy and our government.
That's challenging work, but KFTC and allies are offering some good tools and resources!
Join KFTC on Saturday, September 22 for Communicating Our New Power Economy, a communications training including a presentation by Public Works, a national research, education and training program focusing on to how communicate about taxes and the role of government. Participants will develop a shared sense of the economic landscape impacting Kentuckians, debrief lessons learned using the Blue Ribbon Commission as a recent case study, and take part in and reflect on a presentation from Public Works. We’ll leave with some good new tools to use as we all move forward for economic justice, and a good sense of the opportunities to take action.
This workshop is supported by the Community Media Organizing Project.
