The Lexington Herald-Leader blog reports that Senate President David Williams, House Speaker Greg Stumbo, and Gov. Steve Beshear are meeting behind closed doors to discuss how to address our budget shortfall.
Stumbo the new Speaker of the KY House
The General Assembly reconvened today to vote on leadership positions. The largest contest was between long-time Speaker Jody Richards and former Majority Leader and Attorney General Greg Stumbo for the office of Speaker of the House. Stumbo won the post just a few minutes ago.
