Appropriations and Revenue Committee Hearing on Tax Reform
Posted by: Erik Hungerbuhler on June 3, 2009 at 08:00pm
This afternoon at 1 p.m. the Joint Interim Appropriations and Revenue Committee will be holding a hearing on the results of the Consensus Forecasting Group's study of Kentucky's budget, and two proposed pieces of tax reform legislation that would address our $1 billion budget deficit. KFTC's tax proposal developed as part of the Kentucky Forward Coalition is one of the two bills being presented. We will have members speaking on different aspects of the bill, and how it will address our current budget crisis and be sustainable over the long-term while still being fair to Kentucky's citizens.
Starting at 1 p.m. you can watch the hearing live on KET's website by going here and clicking the "Live Kentucky Senate" button in the left column.
