Take action for tax justice today!

Today, on the 10th anniversary of the disastrous Bush-era tax cuts, a tax justice revolution is gaining steam. We know what kinds of communities we want, we see that the growing wealth gap is harmful, and we know that good solutions are on the table. If we can pay our taxes, why can't America's wealthiest individuals and richest corporations pay their fair share? 

To mark that anniversary and to mark the growing call for solutions, our national allies are calling for this week to be a week of action.  Now is our opportunity to support solutions that let us work together toward our shared goals and priorities by asking millionaires and billionaires to pay their share, just like everyone else. 

A lot is at stake. Our own Rep. Hal Rogers is spearheading efforts for even larger tax cuts to the super-rich—all while slashing essential public services, including education and job training programs, and the very environmental safeguards that Kentuckians depend on.  Rep. Rogers' cuts are harmful, and unnecessary. We can protect the necessary functions of our federal government, but we need to take action now.

Make three calls to 888-907-1485, and ask to be connected with your two senators and your representative. Tell them: It’s time to end the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy and increase tax rates for millionaires. No more budget cuts until millionaires and corporate tax dodgers pay their fair share.
