Voting Rights bill HB 70 gets a hearing tomorrow
Posted by: Dave Newton on February 6, 2011 at 07:00pm
House Bill 70, our bill to restore voting rights to most former felons once they've served their debt to society, will have a hearing tomorrow morning at 8:30am in Capitol Annex room 171.
It's a busy day, including our Immigrants Rights lobby day, but come join us at the hearing if you can.
You can also make a difference by calling the legislative message line sometime before 11pm.
Call 1-800-372-7181 and leave a message for "all members of the House Elections and Constitutional Amendments Committee." A simple message like "please vote Yes on HB 70" works great. It just takes two minutes, so pick up that phone!
