Water Testing Field Day!
You're invited to our water testing field day!
Over the last couple of years, we've hosted several successful water testing workshops across eastern Kentucky. These workshops have given us the opportunity to work with many people and connect community facing similar water quality issues. On Saturday, June 28 at Cordia School in Knott County, we will host a follow-up water testing field day!
We'll spend part of the day reviewing the basics to refresh our memories and then spend another part of the day out in the field practicing what we've learned. For those who have already attended a workshop, this field day will be a great opportunity to:
- Check in with each other and meet folks who share your same concerns about the health of your community;
- Troubleshoot any issues you're having with equipment or the online database and to get more practice testing streams;
- And talk about ways to engage others in the work you're doing in your community.
If you are interested in water quality in eastern Kentucky but haven't had a chance to attend a workshop before, please make plans to attend! People of all skill and interest levels are encouraged to attend.
If you already have testing equipment and/or a binder from a previous training, please make sure to bring it with you! If you don't have testing equipment or a binder, we will have some on hand for you.
This event is free and open to the public. Lunch will be provided. For more information, please contact Jessie Skaggs at [email protected] or (606) 263-4982.
