Lobby your legislators about Sustainable Energy

Opening the door to clean energy opportunities in Kentucky depends on passing good energy legislation in our General Assembly.

Along with our partners in the Kentucky Sustainable Energy Alliance (KySEA), we support the Clean Energy Opportunity Act, expanding Kentucky's net metering law, and expanding energy efficiency and renewable energy in our schools, called the Kentucky Green Schools Initiative.

Historic Towns of Benham and Lynch Need Your Support

Two strip mines threaten the historic Harlan County, Kentucky cities of Lynch and Benham. The A & G and Nally & Hamilton strip mines endanger the high quality public water plus homes and buildings listed on the National Historic Register. The National Trust for Historic Preservation has acknowledged the threat by the listing Black Mountain as one of “America's 11 Most Endangered Historic Places.”

Register for the 2012 Voting Rights Lobby Day and Rally

Join us on March 8 for our major lobby day and rally to restore voting rights to former felons who have served their debt to society! We're planning on having 200 people come out and we especially value having more former felons there to talk about their own experiences.

Let's get HB 70 through the Kentucky Senate!

Last week House Bill 70, our Restoration of Voting Rights amendment, passed out of the state House of Representatives by a huge margin of 78-18.
