The chapter began in Northern Kentucky in 2010, and has been active working to build a more just and sustainable community. From concerts, to film series, to candidate forums, our chapter is always working to find ways to better engage and work within our community. A week from Saturday the Northern Kentucky chapter of Kentuckians for the Commonwealth plan on holding a unique fundraiser that should have something for everybody. Whether you enjoy testing your knowledge, dance parties, costume contests, or just good drinks and good company there will something for you!

Help decide the future of Kentucky's tax system

Kentuckians deserve investments in good jobs, clean air and water, quality educations, and healthy, vibrant communities. This Kentucky is possible, but we need to reform our state tax system.

And this summer may well be our best opportunity in the last decade to push forward tax reforms that improve our quality of life. Right now, Kentucky's Blue Ribbon Commission on Tax Reform is getting ready to hold Public Meetings across the state. Everyday Kentuckians are invited to share their best ideas about needed state tax reforms--ideas that will shape the Commission's recommendations for the 2013 General Assembly. The first of these meetings is in Paducah on May 29.

Cincinnati Transitions to 100% Renewable Electricity

More than 50,000 commercial and residential electricity users in Cincinnati hired a new electricity company this week - one that aims to power the city on 100% clean energy.

Cincinnati is the first city in Ohio and the first of its size to move to 100% clean energy. The city's manager expects the average eligible household's bill to decrease by $133 as a result.

Northern Kentucky Earth Day Celebrations

The Northern Kentucky chapter of Kentuckians for the Commonwealth had a great Earth Day Weekend. The chapter took Earth Day as an opportunity to work with ally organizations, register voters, recruit new members, and give back to the community through a variety of events.

Lawsuit challenges EPA on coal ash protections

KFTC joined a nationwide coalition of groups to sue the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
